BLOG - How To Import xModel to xLights

Have you recently purchased a prop and need help getting the prop into xLights? If so, please follow the steps below:

  1. Find the prop on the web site and click to download the xModel.  When you download it, make sure you make note of where you downloaded it to.  By default its probably in your "Downloads" folder.
  2. Open xLights and go to the Layout tab.
  3. Click the icon at the top right called "Create New Import Custom"

  4. Click inside the black area of your layout. Now you can browse to where you downloaded the file in Step 1.
  5. You have successfully imported the prop into xLights.
